Foster Friends would like to thank all foster parents, kinship caregivers and other agencies for taking care of the children of Collin County. We are so grateful to you and want to assist you in your care and support of these children.
Foster Friends provides two services for caregivers:
Reimbursement for certain expenses

Reimbursement for Expenses
Foster Friends works in conjunction with outside agencies to consider caregivers’ requests for reimbursement for certain expenses associated with raising a child in foster or substitute care. For more information, please complete the “contact us” portion on this website for more information.
Who is eligible to receive assistance from Foster Friends?
Foster Friends considers requests from foster parents, kinship families, other caregivers of Collin County children in substitute care as well as outside agencies entrusted with the care of children removed from their homes and/or receiving prevention assistance. Although caregivers need not live in Collin County, the child must have a legal case in Collin County. All requests are submitted through the Foster Friends liaison. For more information, please complete the “Contact us” form.
What sort of assistance is available?
Foster Friends reviews Special Needs Requests once a month for the purpose of approving the request and all requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. All requests are considered and either approved or declined at the discretion of the Foster Friends Board. Below are examples of items that have been approved:
● Camps
● Sports activities
● Proms
● Driver’s education
